80’s Old School Saturday
Traumatized still by the playing of accidental whackness from last week, the BBR Crew: Angry Engineer, Masta Talka, The CO and J-Crush; cleanse their creative palate by going back to the drawing board. In an homage to Beastie MCA and the purest form of the culture, only Hip-Hop from the fabulous 80’s was allowed on this day. The Cold Crush Brothers, Malcolm McLaren, Treacherous Three, UTFO, Roxanne Shante, MC Shan, Sugar Hill Gang and of course The Beastie Boys, accompanied us on this dope-assed trip. Aaaaah – I feel better already. Now put your track suit on and grab a Kangol – it’s Boom Bap Radio.
