The End of A Purple Reign

Another week and another memorial show. This week we honor his purple royal funkiness – Prince, who passed away unexpected and in doing so left a void even in an artform in which he was not to prolific. We explore Prince’s dalliances with Hip Hop and bid adieu to another legend. The Masta Talka, C.O. and Angry Engineer also chatted up the Presidential primary season and the ongoing rise of Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, as well as the pathos that were former GOP candidates Ted Cruz and John Kasich. We also chatted about President Obama’s last correspondence dinner, Lil’ Kim’s odd social media post and visit Beyonce’s Lemonade stand. Of course Chaka Khan, Big Daddy Kane, Syn Saavy, EPMD and the Junior M.A.F.I.A. got some burn. Yo! Is that a fetus in your purse or are you just happy to see me? – It’s Boom Bap Radio.
